The Butambala Ssaza Chief Katambala Hajji Sulaiman Magala issued a stepdown order to the Ssaza Football Team Chairman due to the controversies that happened in their match between Ssingo and Butambala at Mityana Ssaza Grounds that ended 1:1 draw.

Katambala is quoted in his letter saying that “the acts seen of ordering the player to walk off the pitch before the referee blowing the last whistle are in contradiction with the tournament rules and regulations”

“He didn’t respect the minister for Youth, Sports and Talent Development, Owek. Robert Serwanga” Katambala wrote.

Katambala’s order will start with the effect from matchday 9 and Haji Ntale was told not to take part in any football activities relating to Ssaza Butambala football team. The team it will for now be under Katambala’s management for the rest of the season until further notice.
